The first German Cup semifinal this year will take place this evening from 19:45, putting face to face Monchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Borussia Monchengladbach are a little in pole-position, but they will have a difficult mission. After an unimpressive campaign in Bundesliga, the hosts are looking forward to win the cup, but there are Dortmund and Bayern in the other semifinal. Surprisingly or not, Gladbach failed to impress in the home games lately, winning only two in the past ten weeks, in all competitions.

The other side, Eintracht Frankfurt are on the 9th position in Bundesliga, ahead Gladbach at the moment. The DFB Pokal is their main target for the final part of the season, but they need to show an excellent form this evening. Their strongest point remains the defense, while the attacks still struggles, being the weakest one in Top 13 in German Bundesliga after 30 rounds.
