Betting tips – Celta Vigo vs Alaves – 02.02.2017

Today’s betting offer is not very attractive, but we still have few interesting duels. One of them is coming from Spanish Copa del Rey, with Celta Vigo hosting Alaves in the semifinals.

Celta Vigo are starting in pole-position, at least at the bookies, being superior from many points of view. Iago Aspas and his teammates eliminated Real Madrid in the Quarter-Finals so they surely have something to say in this edition. More than that, Celta have shown great home form in the past 5-6 weeks, ticking four wins and one draw here. More than that, they lost only one match in front of the own fans since September 2016.

The other side, Alaves had a good season too, but they faced weaker teams in the previous cup rounds. More exactly, they elminated Gimnastic, La Coruna and Alcorcon so far. The visitors did well in the last nine trips, losing only one of them, 0-1 at this stadium two weeks ago in LaLiga. Alaves’ last victory away from home against Celta Vigo took place in June 2008, 3-2 in the second Spanish league.

Prediction: 1 @ 1.62
As we said, Celta Vigo did very well this season, especially when they played with the fans behind. Alaves should not be neglected, but we expect the hosts to confirm their superiority and to record a good result in the qualification race.
